A strategic alliance between PanaExpo and the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce brings additional value to PanaExpo exhibitors and professional visitors.


WINNING CANADIAN BUSINESS Networking Workshop

Networking is an important success ingredient in current economic climate.  This workshop and networking session is taking place just one day prior to the Grand Opening of PanaExpo 2009 and will feature one-on-one discussions with Panamanian professionals and entrepreneurs who come to exhibit their products and services at the Panama Festival & Expo 2009.

The idea behind the workshop is to help Panamanians enter Canadian market and at the same time to create trade opportunities, referral income and other business opportunities for Canadians.  
The Networking Workshop will include presentations on sales and marketing in Canada, discuss legal and compliance issues of doing business between business people and professionals of Panama and Canada.
Time and Date:    9:00am on April 23, 2009
Location:             Roof Top Garden at Holiday Inn Select Toronto Airport.

German Castaño  President, Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC).
Currently working as a consultant for international organizations for the setup of Bio-Diesel refineries in Latin-America, German has had a distinguished business career in areas of commodities, agriculture and telecommunications.  German's occupied consulting positions with Colombian National Treasury Office, General Electric and Canadian Ministry of Agriculture.  He became the President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2007.

Topic:  Doing business with the Hispanic market in Canada 2009, demographics, challenges and market opportunities for Panamanian companies, and Market entry strategies in Canada.


Vladimir Reznik, Executive Director of PanaExpo.
A Real Estate Broker by trade and the Founder of the Organizing Committee, Vladimir comes with valuable experience and knowledge in Canadian and Panamanian Real Estate. Over the last two years of working closely with major developers and brokers in both countries, Vladimir gained product and compliance knowledge as well as hands-on experience with real estate in Panama, becoming a Canadian expert in Panama's Real Estate.

Topic: Raising professional standards to reach Canadian buyers' and brokers' expectations of ethics, contracts and due diligence in International Real Estate transactions.

Fernando Blasco,  Vice President of International Development. Global Hospitality.
Fernando is from Barcelona (Spain) and graduated from Palma de Mallorca's University (Hotel Management) in 1981. Since then, he worked for MELIA HOTELS (1981-83) and BARCELO HOTELS (1984-92) in different international roles (GM and Sales) with direct experience in major openings in Caribbean (Cuba, DR, Jamaica), Spain, and Latin America (Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina).  Fernando is the Founder and Executive Director of the
CLUB LAS AMERICAS,  the only Private Business Club for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs in Canada, now with more than 650 impresarios from Canada, Spain, and Latin America.
